Guitar Rock

Every so often you just need a couple little dirty guitar rockers. Cary Hudson’s gritty, swampy “Things Just Ain’t What They Used To Be” has one of my favorite chorus set-up lines ever - “ain’t no more Indians in Indianola, no more cocaine in Coca-Cola.” I just came across Back Door Slam’s “Come Home” on the radio, and frankly, I was surprised to hear them play something that retro and bluesy on the air. Apparently the guys in this band from the UK are still only teenagers, but their sound is a good bit older than their years.
