So I watched The Next Great American Band last night. Yeah, it's done by the same producers that do American Idol, but I don't think it's going to be close to AI. Frankly, I think it's going to struggle to be better than "Rockstar: Fill In Your Antiquated Band Here."
Anyway, during one of their montages, I think I might have caught a glimpse of the lead singer of the local band (Juniper Lane) that made it out there for an audition (but obviously didn't make it further). Of the bands we got to see noodle around on the oddly outdoor stage, my favorite was actually the country band, Sixwire - they rocked a tight, catchy original song, "Good To Be Back," with very nice three-part harmonies.
