Recently I've been enjoying the sophisticated pop of Sara Bareilles (bar-rell-is). She's got an amazing voice with great range, slipping effortlessly from a killer piano pop song (check out "Love Song" below) to the Sarah McLachlan-esque stateliness of "Gravity." "Love Song" was one of iTunes' free singles a couple weeks ago. I tried not to like it, because I've been feeling less hard-core lately, and the last thing I needed was some happy chick-pop music on my iPod. Tragically, I've been digging it a lot. That might mean I'm not a badass.
