Well, the NYC Board of Health has made it official - they've unanimously voted to ban NYC restaurants' use of trans fats by July 2008. Of course, there will be some exceptions to the legislation - like restaurants will be able to serve foods that come in the manufacturer's original packaging. So you'll still be able to pick up a pack of Oreos at a Manhattan deli come August 2008.
