Battle of the Bands

I was a guest judge representing MetroMusicScene.com last night at the Bodog Music Battle of the Bands at the Rock & Roll Hotel. Ten bands over five hours, so I got my fill of local music. And mohawks. Some of my favorites:

1. Eleven: 54 - Blink-182-esque pop-punk, w/ harmonies and hooks
2. Lazlo Lee & The Motherless Children - think White Stripes/The Kinks guitar riff-rock
3. The Fif - hip-hop w/ some soul and a very skilled full band a la The Roots
