Matthew Ryan

Gravelly-voiced and hailing from Chester, PA, Matthew Ryan brings an intimate style of songwriting to indie-rock. His albums have ranged from the ragged Springsteen-esque rock of his debut May Day, to the triumphant-sounding East Autumn Grin (my personal favorite), to a very pensive Concussion. Below are a couple of tracks from Ryan’s current solo release, Regret Over the Wires, where he mixes electronic rhythms and sounds with his insightful lyrics. Besides his solo output, Matthew Ryan also plays in the Nashville-based group Strays Don’t Sleep with Neilson Hubbard.
