A Case of the Fridays

We kick things off with “Misconception,” by the Matt Woods Band. Yeah, the band name’s not a reach, but the song’s got some hooks. With its opening rhythm guitar chords that could have been pulled from 80s pop rock, the song then bursts into harmonized, revved-up choruses, taking the listener for an enjoyable ride. Give it a listen.

And we close with some southern-fried rock, courtesy of the The Gates of Berlin and their track “Hangin’ Tree.” Simply put, if you like Lynyrd Skynyrd-style boogie-woogie rock with some wailing lead guitar, then you’ll pretty much be digging this song. Take a listen.
