Sorry Folks, New Jersey's Closed!

Yep, after New Jersey's state legislature failed to adopt a new budget by the constitutional deadline last Friday, all "non-essential" government offices have been shut down. And since the Casino Control Commission is non-essential, even the casinos are closed!

The sadest part is that it is over a fight as to which taxes they are going to raise - property or sales taxes.

I still can't figure out why anyone voluntarily lives in that state. It's too damn expensive for too damn little in return.

I'll never complain about my MD state and property taxes again!
