Pearl Jam will on Sept. 1 launch its own digital download store via its official Web site. Hours after their completion, full concerts from the group's fall tour will be available for $9.99 as 192K MP3s, which are higher than the standard bit rate.

the ever-prolific Ryan Adams will release his second album of 2005 with his band the Cardinals, "Jacksonville City Nights," on Sept. 27 via Lost Highway. As previously reported, the 14-track set is highlighted by the Norah Jones duet "Dear John."

Howard Stern also confirmed that his Sirius start date is Jan. 9, allowing for some downtime after he completes his 20-year Infinity tenure in December. should Infinity spring him before then, Stern said he would start at Sirius the day after news broke of his premature departure.
